Marbella is a paradise for golf enthusiasts due to its favourable climate and numerous golf courses. Some of the most well-known and prestigious golf courses in Marbella include:
1. Valderrama Golf Club: Often considered one of the best golf courses in Europe, Valderrama has hosted the Ryder Cup and various other major tournaments.

This year there are two mayor golf tournaments being held in the Marbella area:
Solheim Cup 2023
This is one of the most anticipated golfing events, as the Costa del Sol will host the Solheim Cup for the first time in 2023. The event will take place between September 18 and 23, 2023 being Finca Cortesin the chosen course, and for the first time in the history of the tournament, Europe and the United States will meet face-to-face in Spain. It is a milestone that will feature the Costa del Sol, one of the most exotic spots in Andalusia.
This tournament is one of the most exceptional in the world of golf; it is the first women’s golf event to be declared as an event of public interest by the Government of Spain. It has a marked significance in the international competitive scene.
Ladies Spanish Open 2023
One of the most important golf events in Marbella in 2023 will be held at the Real Club de Golf Las Brisas, between November 23rd and 26th. The course was designed by the legendary course designer Robert Trent Jones Senior. Las Brisas in Marbella has been the venue for previous major tournaments.
